I specialise in documentary wedding photography in Yorkshire, York and Hull, capturing real moments as they happen. Around 90 percent of my work is completely natural and unposed, making it perfect for couples who feel uncomfortable in front of the camera or simply want to enjoy their day without interruption. The remaining 10 percent is dedicated to striking, creative portraits that deserve a place on your wall.
Your wedding will never feel like a photoshoot. I will not interrupt your guests or stage your day. Instead, I blend in and quietly document everything as it unfolds. The laughter, the emotion, the atmosphere and the unexpected moments that make your wedding unique. How you felt on your day is just as important as how you looked.
Paul Hawkett Photography was established in 2011, and 2025 marks my 15th year as a full time wedding photographer. With over 450 weddings photographed across Yorkshire, York and Hull, you can relax knowing you are in experienced and reliable hands.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year. This allows me to give every couple my full creative attention and deliver your complete wedding gallery within just four weeks of your wedding day.
Most of my bookings come through personal recommendations or from couples who have seen me work while attending a wedding I previously photographed. This trust means everything to me.
To secure your date, all wedding packages require a low £200 deposit.
One last huge thing. I will blend in with your guests, keep everything relaxed, and make sure the experience feels natural and fun. No taking over. No awkward moments. Just real memories captured beautifully.
