Tucked away just outside Stamford Bridge and a short drive from York, Burtonfields Hall is a true hidden gem for weddings. This elegant private venue played host to Anna and John’s beautifully relaxed wedding day – and what a day it was!

The couple chose to have their ceremony on the lush green lawns of Burtonfields Hall, surrounded by the estate’s stunning scenery and an unexpected but delightful audience – the resident sheep! It was a picturesque setting, with the rolling countryside providing the perfect backdrop as Anna and John exchanged their vows under the open sky.

Before the ceremony, Anna and John opted for a heartfelt first look – a moment just for the two of them before the celebrations began. Seeing each other before walking down the aisle was an emotional highlight, adding an extra layer of intimacy to their day. ​When it comes to confetti, Anna and John set the benchmark: more is definitely better! Their guests fully embraced the moment, showering them in a cascade of vibrant petals, creating a magical explosion of colour. 

The rest of the day flowed effortlessly, reflecting Anna and John’s laid-back approach. Guests enjoyed canapés on the terrace, soaking up the sunshine while the newlyweds mingled and laughed with their loved ones. The speeches were heartfelt, full of laughter and happy tears, capturing the essence of the day perfectly.

As the evening drew in, we were treated to the most perfect golden hour light – every photographer’s dream! Anna and John stole a few quiet moments away from the crowd, allowing me to epic portraits in that soft, warm glow.

Breaking from tradition, the couple swapped out a first dance for something a little different – a first shot! With glasses raised, they kicked off the evening celebrations in style, setting the tone for an unforgettable night of fun and laughter.
