Beth & Kieran's Summer Wedding at Sledmere House​

If you’re searching for a dreamy Yorkshire wedding venue with huge character, gorgeous gardens, and the perfect summer vibe, Sledmere House pretty much ticks every box. Beth and Kieran's intimate summer wedding there was full of sunshine, laughter, pizza, garden games, and Winston the superstar dog.

As a York wedding photographer, this is the kind of day I absolutely love capturing—relaxed, fun, and totally “them.”

Beth and Kieran chose one of the beautiful rooms inside Sledmere House for their ceremony, and it was perfect. The sunlight poured in, everyone was smiling, and the whole thing felt incredibly personal. No fuss, no rush—just a really lovely, relaxed moment with the people closest to them.

And honestly, Sledmere House never disappoints. The interiors are insane (in the best way), and every corner is a photo opportunity waiting to happen.

After the “I do’s,” everyone headed out to the marquee for a proper summer garden party. The weather was beautiful warm sunshine, blue skies, and that golden evening light photographers dream of.

There were hay bales for seating, garden games scattered around, drinks flowing, and pizza served for tea.  And honestly, it was perfect. The kind of laid-back celebration that fits a summer wedding at Sledmere so well.

Special shoutout to Winston, who basically became the unofficial guest of honour. He wandered around saying hello to everyone, posed like a pro, and kept guests thoroughly entertained. Every wedding needs a Winston.
