SANDBURN HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Timeless, modern York wedding photographer at Sandburn Hall
Katie and Nathan celebrated their wedding at Sandburn Hall near York, surrounded by friends, family and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. It was one of those wedding days that had the perfect balance of emotion, fun and incredible moments from start to finish.
With surprise singing waiters, a stunning golden hour and a sparkler finale to end the night, their Sandburn Hall wedding was packed with unforgettable memories. Sandburn Hall is a fantastic Yorkshire wedding venue set amongst lakes, woodland and rolling golf course views just outside York. The Grand Hall is filled with natural light from its large windows, creating a bright and relaxed space for both ceremonies and wedding breakfasts.
Katie and Nathan’s day began with a wonderful ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends before everyone headed outside to enjoy drinks in the sunshine and take in the views across the countryside. The relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect setting for natural documentary wedding photography, capturing all the laughter, hugs and moments shared throughout the day.
One of the biggest surprises of the day came during the wedding breakfast. Just when guests thought the meal was in full swing, the singing waiters suddenly burst into song. Within seconds the entire room realised something unexpected was happening. Laughter filled the room as the performers revealed themselves and the dining room quickly turned into a full blown party. Guests were up on their feet waving napkins, singing along and dancing between the tables. It was an amazing atmosphere and one of those moments that everyone will remember from Katie and Nathan’s wedding day.
As the evening approached we stepped outside for a few relaxed portraits during golden hour. This is always one of the most beautiful times of day at Sandburn Hall. The warm evening light spread across the golf course creating the perfect backdrop for a few quiet moments away from the celebrations. Katie and Nathan took a short walk together while the sun dropped across the countryside, creating some stunning natural portraits before heading back inside to rejoin the party.
To finish their incredible wedding day, guests gathered outside to create a sparkler tunnel. Everyone lined the path holding sparklers high as Katie and Nathan ran through the middle surrounded by cheers and laughter. Sparkler exits always create such an amazing atmosphere and they are the perfect way to end a wedding celebration.
