Georgie & Stephen’s Magical York Wedding

Some weddings are simply unforgettable, and Georgie and Stephen’s day was one of them—timeless, elegant, and bursting with personality. With the breathtaking York Minster as the setting for their ceremony and a fun-filled reception at Hutton Wandesley Stables. The day was filled with love, laughter, and a few delightful surprises!

There’s nothing quite like saying "I do" in one of the most iconic minsters in the world. York Minster provided a spectacular and awe-inspiring backdrop for Georgie and Stephen’s vows. As they exchanged rings beneath the towering stained-glass windows, surrounded by family and friends. After the ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out into the historic streets of York, where they were greeted by a guard of honour and a joyful cascade of confetti. The moment was pure magic—cheers, laughter, and two people radiating happiness as they took their first steps as husband and wife. It was one of those picture-perfect moments that I love capturing!

From the elegance of York Minster, the celebrations moved to the charm of Hutton Wandesley Stables, where Georgie and Stephen had planned an incredible reception full of unique and personal touches. Two white donkeys greeted guests, adding a touch of countryside charm. They were an absolute hit, with guests stopping to pet them between sips of champagne. And then there was the bouncy castle—because why should kids have all the fun? Seeing wedding guests in formalwear bouncing and laughing made for some of the most joyful and hilarious photos of the day.

As the evening set in, it was time for an amazing ceilidh with the incredibly talented Whisky Kiss. The dance floor was packed as guests twirled, spun, and laughed their way through the traditional Scottish dances. There’s nothing like a ceilidh to bring people together, and this one was unforgettable!

To end the night on the perfect note, Georgie and Stephen had a sparkler exit. With friends and family lining the path, sparklers glowing in the dark, the couple walked through a tunnel of golden light.
