Some wedding days just have that magic about them from the very start – and Joanne and Adam’s Carlton Towers wedding in North Yorkshire was exactly that. From the incredible styling to surprise singing waiters and quite possibly the most stunning wedding cake I’ve ever seen, this was a day packed full of joy, atmosphere and unforgettable moments.
Carlton Towers is always an impressive place to photograph and is one of Yorkshire’s most sought-after wedding venues, but on this day it truly came into its own. The grandeur of the house, the sweeping grounds and the sense of history created the perfect backdrop for Joanne and Adam’s relaxed but beautifully styled celebration. Every room felt thoughtfully curated and elegant, a dream setting for documentary wedding photography.
Enter the singing waiters for some unforgettable reactions
Just when guests thought the wedding breakfast couldn’t get any better, the singing waiters revealed themselves – and the reactions were priceless. Laughter, surprise and a packed dance floor in the middle of the day set the tone for the rest of the celebrations. These are the moments I love most as a photographer: genuine emotion, spontaneous joy and everyone completely in the moment.
We have to talk about the cake. Hands down, one of the most stunning wedding cakes I’ve seen. It was a real showstopper and fitted the style of the day perfectly – elegant, bold and beautifully crafted. A true centrepiece.
From start to finish at Carlton Towers, Joanne and Adam’s wedding was relaxed, fun and full of personality – a real reflection of them as a couple. From emotional moments to big laughs and everything in between, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph.
Carlton Towers provided the perfect backdrop for an amazing day, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been there to capture it all.
